Well it's been a while... but I'm getting back on the blogging wagon! The biggest news we have is that we are expecting baby #2! It's a BOY! We are so excited to welcome him into our family in April. Unfortunately I was just as sick with this baby boy as I was with Lila. So it was a rough couple months! Thankfully my Mom was able to come out for a couple weeks and we had so many friends and neighbors that helped us out. We are SO grateful for their help! And as I learned with Lila, it's all worth it!
I'm feeling really good now and back to normal. Lila seems to understand (somewhat) that a baby is coming into our family. She likes talking to my belly and saying "hello" and giving it kisses. It melts my heart! I'm so excited to see Lila as a big sister! We are busy trying to get things ready for little boy Heinzen.
Some info about this pregnancy:
- The first trimester I basically ate bagels and cranberry juice. Now a days I've been craving apples, cottage cheese, and veggies with ranch.
- With this pregnancy I didn't have a feeling either way if this baby was a boy or a girl. With Lila I really felt that she was a girl. The day of the ultrasound I ended up guessing boy and Paul guessed girl. Turns out it was a boy! And most importantly that he looks healthy!
- I definitely feel a lot bigger this time around. No stretch marks so far, but I know they will be coming!
- We haven't quite decided on a name. Paul and I are having a harder time agreeing on boy names. I like more unique names, not crazy, but unique, and Paul likes more traditional. I think we might have one that we both kind of agree on, but we still aren't 100% sure. Luckily we have some more time to figure that out!
-I've been feeling extra tired. It didn't really go away during the second trimester. Maybe it's something about being pregnant and having an active toddler? I basically take a nap every day while Lila takes her nap. I could definitely out-nap her, she's the one that wakes me up from my nap haha!

This is sadly the only belly picture I've really taken so far! Oh how things are different with child #2. It was on Thanksgiving in a hurry and Lila ended up crashing the picture-- but it's better than nothing right? I'm going to be better!
