2015 Family Theme: Come What May and Love It

Paul and I decided that we want to have a family theme that we choose the beginning of every year. For FHE we brainstormed of some different scriptures and quotes and decided on "Come What May and Love It"

We felt really good about having this be the theme of our family this year. This comes from Elder Wirthlin's talk from General Conference back in 2008. I think it might be one of my favorite conference talks ever! To hold ourselves accountable, every Monday at FHE we are going to share an experience during the week where we felt like we had this attitude.

I feel like Paul is really good about having this attitude already. He is just naturally more positive and sees the glass half full. I tend to not be as good about this. Not that I'm sad all the time, but more that I let little things bother me. I get frustrated when things don't go the way that I pictured them to. No matter what happens this year (not that we are expected lots of bad things to happen). I just want to embrace it, learn from it, and look at things with a bigger perspective. The day to day frustrations, in the big picture, are such small moments. Moments I can learn from.

Anyway, here is to 2015! The year of "Come What May and Love It"!
