Lila: 8 Months

Well now that Lila is mobile it's getting harder and harder to get pictures of little Lu. She is wiggly and no matter how many pictures I take it's nearly impossible to get one with her just laying there smiling. This picture definitely shows some of her personality though...

Here are the updates from this past month:
  • Lila is full-on crawling. She is fast and alllll over the place. She skipped the scooting and army crawling and went straight to all-fours Although it turns our house into a disaster zone and I'm having to sweep/vaccum a ton more than I used to (How does she still manage to find every little crumb I've missed?!) I love seeing her zip around the room exploring everything.
  • Lila is sleeping through the night. Hallelujah! We've been waiting for this for a while.
  • She loves making noise. The kids Paul teaches at church have given her the nickname of "noisy". Her favorite sounds are growling and breathing really fast through her nose.
  • She is starting to pull herself up on things. We've been having a lot of falls and tumbles- which have caused some tears. But it's all part of the learning process, right?
  • Lila had her first Halloween and dressed up as a little cupcake (Halloween post coming soon!)
  • Her favorite toys to play with are keys, whisks, and Paul's name tag.
  • Lila likes to knock over towers of blocks. She has these wooden blocks and if we build a tower she'll crawl from across the room to come over and knock it down. We've given her the nickname "Lu-zilla"
  • She's starting eating pieces of food. She loves beans, pasta, peas, and Happy Puffs (baby version of flavored cheerios)

Hanging out by the heater. One of her favorite spots!

She loves her daddy

Trying on Dad's beanie

Watching General Conference

Enjoying her bouncer "fort"

Looking out the window at the rain with Dad. This picture melts my heart!

I look like a crazy (ignore me!) But I love Lila in this picture.

Lila likes playing the pedals, while I play the keys

Under the piano

All bundled up on a morning walk in the cold. The blanket and jacket were both mine as a baby.

Snuggled up after bath time.

Enjoying a nice fall day in our backyard.

Standing up and so proud of herself

How I find her sometimes when she wakes up from her nap

A bridge on our little nature walk

I love when Paul wears her

Sitting like a gangsta while Mom takes forever shopping at Target
