Miles and Mikaela Tie the Knot

I can't believe my little brother is married! I couldn't be happier for him and Mikaela! I first met Mikaela last Thanksgiving when we were in Utah. They had just been dating a little while- but I just loved her from the beginning. She was so happy and upbeat and genuine. And she totally scored points by playing Liar's Dice with us (anyone who is going to be in our family has to play this game!) I remember calling my Mom and telling her how I wanted Miles to marry her. Fast forward 9 months later and THEY ARE! I'm so happy my brother found such a great girl to marry and so happy to get another sister-in-law.

Growing up as the only girl I always wanted a sister. I remember wishing on a star every night when my Mom was pregnant with Justin that she would have a girl. Obviously it didn't work. Buuuuut... now I finally got my sisters. I have 2 Heinzen sister-in-laws and 2 Wheeler sister-in-laws. And I didn't have to deal with sharing clothes, or a room, or fighting. So I think I got the best of both worlds.

They got married in the Sacramento Temple and were sealed by my Grandpa Cummings.
Justin watched Lila for us so Paul and I could both go. The sealing was really special. It brought back a lot of memories of when Paul and I got married in the Sacramento Temple over 2 years ago.

I was a bridesmaid and Paul was a groomsman. Mikaela picked out super cute bridesmaid dresses. Like I want to wear it every Sunday. I happened to find a dress for Lila in the clearance section of Target for $7 that matched perfectly with my dress. So I bought it because I'm all about being matchy-matchy. And I think it was just meant to be.

After the temple we went to their wedding luncheon for both of the families. They introductions of everyone and had a little program where my Grandma, Dad, and Mikaela's Dad spoke about them getting married. And then they showed a cute little slide show.

Their reception was at the Cavitt-Stalman building in Granite Bay. It was outdoors at night. They had the pavilion decorated all cute with lights and bunting. There was a lemonade stand and they had people come around with ice cream and fruit. I loved the whole idea! They had dancing too.

We got to see lots of friends and family. I got to see my cousin, Malorie, who I hadn't see in a while. Paul's best friend, James and his wife LeAnn were able to come up. They just had a baby, Swen, a couple months ago. So it was fun to see their little guy. We already have an arranged marriage for Lila and Swen going on.

We ended up leaving the reception a little early. It had been a long day for Lila and she was done. So we missed seeing them off. But it was such a beautiful day! CONGRATS TO MILES AND MIKAELA!

I wish I had gotten more pictures but here are the few I took of the day...

Waiting for the bride and groom to come out. Lila was getting restless so I tried to keep her entertained by turning the camera around so she could see herself and ended up with this picture.

The happy couple!

So happy for my brother

All the Wheeler girls. Isn't Mikaela the most beautiful bride EVER?

My cousin Sabrina and I with our babies. Just a couple months apart!
Whitney wasn't too happy about taking a picture though :(

Lila tried to put the moves on Swen by holding his hand.
But Swen thought things were moving too fast and started crying haha!
