This sweet little girl is 2 months now! She is growing so fast. I can't even believe it. I'll look back at pictures of her when she was just born and can't believe that was her just 2 months ago. We love watching her grow and learn new things. She is my little buddy at home all day while Paul's at work. Here's her 2 month post...
2 MONTHS:
- Lila has started rolling over. She really hates tummy time, so I think she learned how to roll over to get out of it. I set her down the other day for tummy time and immediately she just rolled over. I couldn't believe it! I thought it was a fluke- so I kept putting her on her tummy and she rolled over 3 more times. Now every time I put her down on her tummy, she immediately rolls onto her back.
- Lila starting giving us REAL smiles this month. We call her our "Smiley Liley". There is nothing better! Paul and I are always trying to find new ways to make her smile. We joke that her nose is a "smile button" because anytime we tap it and make a little sound she'll give us a nice big grin.
- She weighs over 10 pounds. I wish I had her exact stats, but she hasn't had her 2 mo. appointment yet. Last time she was weighed (about two weeks ago) she was just over 10 pounds. She is getting to be a little chunker! I love her chubby cheeks. I kiss them alllll day long!!
- Lila started wearing cloth diapers this past month. We're not at 100% yet. I put her in disposables when we are out and about. We are really liking cloth diapers though. They've helped with diaper rash, eliminated blowouts, they save us money (dang! diapers are expensive!), and they are cute!
- We've figured out that Lila has a dairy intolerance. She had reflux really bad so we tried some medicine... which didn't seem to really work. So her pediatrician suggested I go off dairy and it's really seemed to help. As much as I miss ice cream, pizza, yogurt, cheese and everything else that has dairy in it (you'd be surprised how many things have dairy that you wouldn't think of), I love having a happy baby SO much more.
- She has become so much more aware of everything around her this month. She loves staring at lights or her mobile or at everything at the grocery store. I love the way she'll stare at them with her mouth wide open and her big blue eyes.
- Lila was sleeping well at one point this last month. There was a week or two where she was going 5-6 hours at night. Sometimes I would only need to wake up once during the night- which was heavenly! But lately we are back to every 3 hours or so. I'm hoping it's just a growth spurt or phase and those longer hours will come back. We will see! But at least I know it is possible!
- One of our favorite things Lila and I do, is dance to Pharrell Williams "Happy". I'll lay her down somewhere and just move her arms and legs around to make her dance and she LOVES it.
And, of course, some of my favorite pictures from the month...
