Christmas in Virginia

We're so happy we were able to go to Virginia for Christmas to visit my family. Paul pretty much saved up all his vacation days for our trip. So we had a good week and a half out there. And actually because of a canceled flight home, we got to stay 2 extra days (yay!).

The flight out was good. I always get sick on planes. Usually I drug myself up with dramamine and sleep the entire flight, but being pregnant, I've been really cautious about taking meds. So I flew without taking dramamine. There were bumpy parts, but we made it. The baby actually loved flying. I don't know if it was coincidence or if she really liked the turbulence, but she was moving and kicking the entire 4 hour flight. Like non-stop.

We got to Virginia a couple days before Christmas, so we got to do some fun Christmasy things before and do some last minute Christmas shopping. It was the first time our family had been all together for Christmas in 5 years. 5 years ago I had just gotten my mission call, Collin was a freshman at BYU, and Miles and Justin were living at home. So crazy how much things can change in 5 years. Now we have added Paul and Kaitlin (my sister-in-law) to the family... and our little baby girl on the way. Miles is back from his mission and Justin is the only one at home now. It really was just fun being together as a family. We got to see some sights in D.C. My parents live only a 1/2 hour away, so we went and did some touristy stuff for a couple days. It was the perfect balance of going out and doing fun stuff and also just chilling out at home and playing games and stuff.

I took a bunch of pictures...

Who knows when we will be all together again? But we enjoyed every second of being together!
