We had such a fun Thanksgiving out in Utah! It was a very eventful couple days- we had Thanksgiving, Paul's birthday, my baby shower, and Ezra's baby blessing all during our trip out there. I'm just going to combine everything in this blog post.
We left Wednesday afternoon for Utah. We drove and luckily the weather was great- no snow! The drive is about 7 hours or so. I wasn't sure how it would be being pregnant. I thought it might get uncomfortable sitting that long, but it was great! I just brought lots of snacks and made a couple more bathroom trips than usual. No problem at all.
We stayed at Paul's brother's house. They just bought a house a couple months ago and it is SO charming. It's a cute old house with tons of character. We got there Wednesday night and got to meet little Ezra Godani Heinzen, who was born two months ago. He is adorable. I think I took more pictures of him than anything else on the trip.

Meeting baby Ezi |
Thursday, THANKSGIVING, we met up with the rest of the Heinzens up at a cabin in Heber. It was so fun to see everyone. All the nieces and nephews had grown so much since we'd seen them last. We got everything ready and had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner all together. My brother, Miles, also came up too. He stayed in Provo for the break because he had to work. So he got adopted as an honorary Heinzen for Thanksgiving.

All the Heinzens together for Thanksgiving |
Friday we just had fun relaxing and spending time together at the cabin. We played games, read, talked, crafted, took naps. It was glorious. That night we had a birthday dinner for Paul- a BBQ and Paul's Mom made him his favorite ice cream cake they would have growing up. We even had a pinata for Paul, which he totally destroyed.
Saturday was Paul's actual birthday. 26!!! I had gotten him a little present that I was super excited about. So I made him open it the second we woke up. Paul has this purple beanie that he has had ever since I've known him. Anyone who knows Paul really well knows about his love for this beanie. I hate it though haha! It's just really old and has definitely seen better days. I won't let him wear it anymore. So, I got him a nice new one! Which, he admitted yesterday, he likes even better than the old one.

That morning we left the cabin and headed down to Provo. My sweet friends- Kristen and Laura- threw me a baby shower. We had yummy soup in bread bowls and decorated headbands. Mostly, it was so fun to see everyone that came and to catch up. Our baby girl definitely got some cute stuff!
That evening we went to Bombay house to celebrate Paul's bday with Miles and his girlfriend. Bombay House is our most favorite place ever. Oh man! I could eat their Chicken Tikka Masala every day. We had lots of fun!
Sunday was Ezra's baby blessing. Ezra looked so sweet in his while outfit. You could just feel the love that Jon had for Ezra as he blessed them. Both Jon & Dee are such great parents. We left right after the blessing and headed back to Fort Collins.
Our trip went by way too fast but was filled with lots of fun and memories! See you in 2014 Utah!
So fun! I'm sad I couldn't be at the shower. Looks like it was a blast!
