Visiting California

Our time in California was so action packed and full of fun! My family is moving back out to D.C. next month- so who knows when we will be back out to visit? Except that we are going out there in June for Miles' homecoming and in July for Collin's wedding... but after that... I'm not sure? Anyway, we made sure we did everything fun in CA!

Monday: We flew in and went to In-N-Out for dinner. Yum! They don't have that in CO. We got to see my sweet grandparents who just live down the street from us and helped them plant some tomatoes.

Tuesday: We went to the Sacramento Temple with my parents. Ate Indian Food (our fav!) and took naps.

Wednesday: We left for Yosemite. We got there and hiked Vernal Falls. Yosemite was so beautiful. I know I went there growing up, but I really couldn't remember anything. When you first drive in to the valley it is almost magical with the mountains, and trees, and waterfalls. The hike up to Vernal Falls was cool. At the very end you hike up some stone stairs and the waterfall is practically next to you. We got soaked, but it was so worth it!

Thursday: We rented bikes and biked all over Yosemite. They had some awesome bike trails. We went to saw some lakes and waterfalls. We drove home that night.

Friday: We borrowed Uncle Dave's jet skis and went to Folsom Lake. I have no need for speed... unlike the men in my family. I was always telling Paul to go slower haha!

Saturday: We drove down to S.F. We went to Pier 39, Fisherman's Warf, this Vintage Arcade game warehouse, Ghiradelli Square, Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, and China Town. Whew! I think the best part was going to China Town and hearing Paul speak Chinese with people. I was a creeper and took pics of him talking to people, because I thought their reactions were so funny! A white guy speaking Chinese in China Town is not a common occurrence I think?

Sunday: We went to church down in Stockton with Paul's Aunt Alex and Uncle Ron. Then we drove over to Aunty Nancy's and Uncle Bill's for dinner that night. We got to see Paul's cousin, Lauren and her husband, Tony, and their CUTE baby, Camden. I didn't take any pictures, but I'm so wishing I did. He is adorable and we are so happy for them.

We SO enjoyed our time in CA!
