Life in Fort Collins

It's been over a week since we got here. So far so good! It was bittersweet leaving Provo. There have been so many good things that have happened to us there and we have so many sweet memories, but it's also exciting to start this new adventure.

Things we love about Fort Collins so far...

- People here are SO friendly (sorry Provo, you loose). Strangers will strike up conversations with you in line at the grocery store, the lady at the DMV will tell you the best pizza place in town, and the guy that works at the ice cream store will let you taste test 5 different ice cream flavors.

- Old Town. It has so many cute little shops and restaurants. We want to try all of them!

- Parks and Bike Trails. They are everywhere. We went bike shopping this weekend (haven't bought one yet) But we will soon and then we will fit in and be official Coloradans.

We had a picnic at the park
- Our apartment. Our favorite thing is that it has a dishwasher. A year and a half washing dishes by hand will do that to you.
Welcome to our apartment
- Our ward. Seriously what would we do if we didn't have the church? We had people who helped us move in. People at church introducing themselves. We met some awesome young couples in our ward who have invited us to do stuff with them. A family from the ward that lives in our apartment complex brought us treats. I have always heard people call the ward a "family", but I really have felt that since moving here. We are so grateful!!

Also this week...Paul started his job at Avago this week. His official title is "memory engineer". It sounds like something from Inception if you ask me. But, basically he designs chips. That's all I really understand.
Paul ready to go to work
I got a job at Garfield Elementary in the Loveland, which is the next town over. I will be working in their Learning Center, helping kids with different learning disabilities that need extra help with their classwork. I went in and worked with some of the kids for part of my interview and loved it!  But, that doesn't start until the end of August. So... not sure what I'm going to do for the summer. I might go crazy if I'm not working... so we'll see what I can find.

Garfield Elementary- super old, but really cute!

Anyway, we'll keep you updated! Miss and love all of you that are far away from us!
